Dear Mohammed,
Thank you very much for your positive comments for Abaqus2Matlab toolbox.
Abaqus2Matlab will certainly be helpful either for students, or for engineers who are concerned with engineering applications rather than programming. This happens because Matlab has certainly some advantages compared to Python scripting:
Matlab requires minimal programming knowledge and efforts on behalf of the user.
Matlab offers a unique environment.
Mathematical operations are easy to be programmed and are not susceptible to errors.
Matlab has compact documentation.
Matlab has an engineer/scientific-oriented logic which promotes research with the least possible required programming skills
Matlab provides a large variety of toolboxes in order to easily and efficiently implement any computational task.
For programmers and engineers who are used to Matlab, it is much easier to use Abaqus2Matlab to do their post-processing job, than switching from Matlab to Python. The latter would be too onerous and pointless to justify a single post-processing task.
You can find examples of postprocessing of Abaqus results with Matlab at this website.
In future versions Abaqus2Matlab will incorporate additional capabilities as well as a friendly Graphical User Interface (GUI)
We are willing to hear more details about your experience with the toolbox, along with various ways to improve it in a future version.
