Hi
When I am trying to run the matlab script, I am getting the following error message:
Error in execution of Python script
If the working dimension of MAX or MIN is variable in length, it must not have zero length at runtime.
Is anyone familiar with this problem and can provide an answer?
Thanks, Barbara
Dear Barbara,
This error means that the Python script that is executed during the application of a function of odb2Matlab is not run successfully and the rpy file is therefore not created.
This issue is fixed by closing all applications of Abaqus/CAE or Abaqus/Viewer that may be open while Abaqus2Matlab is executed.
Abaqus2Matlab (more specifically the functions in odb2Matlab are programmed so that they scan all rpy files that are present in the Abaqus working directory, and read them one by one. In the beginning, Abaqus2Matlab tries to delete all abaqus.rpy files, but if the Abaqus/CAE or Abaqus/Viewer is open on your PC, the rpy files cannot be deleted. Since at least an rpy file cannot be deleted, Abaqus2Matlab tries to read it and to obtain some model data from there. Since the model data are not present in the file abaqus.rpy that is locked by Abaqus/CAE or Abaqus/Viewer, then the process issues an error. Generally it is recommended that when running Abaqus2Matlab any Abaqus/CAE or Abaqus/Viewer windows should be closed.
This bug will be resolved in the next release of Abaqus2Matlab.
Best regards.
